How To Maintain Your Inner Peace In The Midst Of Chaos

“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7

I always say, “Follow your knows,” because the answer has always been right under our noses.
What is under our nose? Our mouth.

As Christians, we must continually guard our heart and establish our inner peace by the renewing of our minds and the exercising of our voices. Or else, the burdens of this world will choke it out, leaving us in shambles trying to recover our peace of heart and mind.

“Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy.” He doesn’t come to steal your car or your money, he doesn’t need a car and he doesn’t need money. But he comes to steal your peace. He comes to steal your joy and happiness. He comes to kill your dreams and destroy your hope and faith in God. If stealing your belongings robs you of your peace, then, he wins the battle for your soul.

Our soul is our psyche – our mind – and the battles are in, and for, our mind.

That’s just an example of how Satan operates. It might not just be something materially that he steals but he may try and steal your health or your love.

Don’t let the devil shut your mouth, you shut the devil’s mouth with the truth of who you are in Christ Jesus. Tell the devil, “Shut up, you liar!” when he comes to remind you of your past or tell you that you are sick, weak, or less than anything that God says you are.

“You are more than conquerors in all these things.”

The devil, that is Satan, is a liar and the father of lies. He has always been a liar because there is no truth in him. Therefore, do not believe what the world has to say about you, your finances, your health, or your family because the god of the world is Satan and most of what we are exposed to in this world are lies, falsifications, and misrepresentations of the truth. Lies that are near enough to the truth to set a trap for those who do not know the truth, but far enough from it to steer those away who understand and live by the Word of God.

“And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”
Free of sickness, free from poverty, free from curses, free from depression, anxiety, guilt, or shame.
“And he who the Son sets free is free indeed.”

We speak God’s word and promises into existence, and to those things that are not, as if they are. This is faith in operation. “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” This is how the Earth and universes were created. God spoke them into existence.

Therefore, us, being made in the image of God, our words have creative power.

This is why Jesus said, “Say unto this mountain…” Speak it out loud, so that your words will go forth and cause reality, a living word. Jesus spoke to the fig tree, and it withered and died. Do not be afraid to use your voice. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he will have whatsoever he says. Therefore, I say to you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Our words already go forth from our mouths and create all those things that we think and say. Therefore, we must continue to re-new our thoughts daily, that is renew our thinking patterns every day. So that we may rest in His peace.

Jesus said, “My peace I leave with you.”

Bring every thought into captivity and the obedience of Christ.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

What happens when you bring something into captivity? It is caught, captured, and no longer free to run around and do as it pleases. Your thoughts are then no longer free to create chaos and havoc, or sickness and disease in your life.

When we do as the Word says and pay attention to our thoughts, and capture any thought or imagination that raises itself up against the truth and the knowledge of God, then we don’t have to sacrifice our peace to fear or worry.

Christ also said, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.”

Not for a lack of trying, or lack of doing good for others, but for lack of knowledge of God’s word and His provision, so that we may have life and life more abundantly. This is why it is so important to read, study, and know the Word of God.

So that we know when we are being misled or lied to about ourselves, our relationships, health, or finances, and not ignorant to the wiles of the Devil. Not only is the anti-Christ spirit already among us, but many false teachings rampantly circulate on the Internet, in schools, and in the news every day. If we don’t know what the Bible says about the immediate concerns of our life, how can we know when we are being misled into a trap?

We have peace in knowing the truth about God’s love for us, and He cares about us, and has made provisions for every single area in our lives. So that our peace remains steadfast, even in the hardest of times which we now live in.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Jesus
